Abstract:
A method and system for user to obtain home link information are disclosed, said method comprises the following steps. User equipment attaches to an access network, the access network sends home link information to user equipment with Protocol Configuration Option (PCO), said home link information includes address of Home Agent (HA), further includes Home Address (HoA) and/or Home Network Prefix (HNP), or indication of access network being home link. User equipment receives PCO from access network, if PCO contains indication of access network being home link, then the current access network is home link. If Home Address carried by PCO is equal to address of specific access interface, or home network prefix is equal to prefix part of address of specific access interface, or home network prefix is equal to address prefix of specific access interface, then the current access network is home link, otherwise, the current access network is not home link. The method can be implemented without pre-configuration of UE and user intervention and have good application flexibility.
