Title:
METHOD FOR TRANSFORMING A 1,2-DISUBSTITUTED EPOXIDE CYCLE INTO ITS ALPHA-DIKETONE DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2003022789
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for transforming a 1,2-disubstituted epoxide cycle into its alpha -diketone derivative, characterized in that it consists in oxidizing said cycle in the presence of at least an efficient amount of a bismuth salt and/or any compound capable of generating same in situ and of an activator for opening said cycle.
