Abstract:
A method of treating meat-and-bone meal whereby meat-and-bone meal, which has been treated as a general waste, becomes usable as a fertilizer; and a fertilizer with the use of meat-and-bone meal. According to the method of treating meat-and-bone meal as described above, a meat-and-bone meal exclusively made from cows having specific dangerous parts of cows is burnt alone within a temperature range of from about 1000oC to about 1200oC, particularly preferably at a temperature of about 1200oC, in terms of atmospheric temperature and the bone ash thus obtained is employed as a fertilizer. The fertilizer with the use of the meat-and-bone meal as described above comprises a bone ash which is prepared by burning a meat-and-bone meal exclusively made from cows having specific dangerous parts of cows alone within a temperature range of from about 1000oC to about 1200oC, particularly preferably at a temperature of about 1200oC, in terms of atmospheric temperature.
