Abstract:
A method for washing clothes using steam, and a washing machine, the method comprising: inserting water into an outer drum (42), and when the inserted water level reaches a preset water level, stopping inserting water, the preset water level being determined by the positions of an outer drum heating apparatus (43) and the bottom of an inner drum (41); heating the water inside the outer drum (42), and when the water is heated for a preset time or a to preset temperature, then stopping heating the water; and steam cleaning clothes. The present method and washing machine use steam to wash clothes, such that the clothes are fully spread out, and are deodorised and sterilised, appropriately reducing the heating time during a washing process, and achieving the effect of saving energy.
