Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided to support the packet routing for Sidelink Relay operation in mobile communication system. In one novel aspect, the Base Station establishes the Sidelink Relay Communication Path based on the UE interest of Sidelink Relay Operation and the signaling strength measured by the Relay UE and the Remote UE. The Base Station configures the packet routing configuration to the nodes within Sidelink Relay Communication Path and update them dynamically. The packet routing is performed based on the packet routing configuration between the Base Station and the Remote UE via Relay UE. The Sidelink Relay communication path is released when the session between the Base Station and the Remote UE concluded.
