Abstract:
Provided are methods and apparatuses for sidelink positioning, and a terminal device and a network device. A method for sidelink positioning comprises: a first terminal device sending a first message to a network device, the first message comprising first positioning configuration information, which is used for sidelink positioning, wherein the first terminal device is one of a plurality of terminal devices participating in sidelink positioning, the first terminal device is located within the coverage range of a network, and some or all of the plurality of terminal devices except the first terminal device are located outside the coverage range of the network. When sidelink positioning is performed in a scenario involving part of the coverage range of a network, a first terminal device located within the coverage range of the network sends first positioning configuration information to a network device, such that the network device determines whether there is a need to update the first positioning configuration information, thus helping to reduce or avoid configuration conflicts on other terminal devices caused by subsequent execution of sidelink positioning using the first positioning configuration information.
