Abstract:
A method for enhancing the corrosion resistance of a metal article comprises coating a metal article with poly(arylene ether) in a carrier, and evaporating the carrier, wherein the poly(arylene ether) has an intrinsic viscosity of less than about 0.60 dl/g as measured in chloroform at 25 DEG C. The coated metal articles find utility in automobiles, ships and in electronic media devices.
