Title:
METHODS FOR MODELING MATERIAL RESPONSE TO APPLIED FORCE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2003087988
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A method for modeling the interaction of granular material with equipment includes the steps of numerically representing the material with an array having a plurality of cells [Fig 1, item 10], determining which of the cells may be unstable using a self-organizing computational model [item 18], and modeling the motion of the unstable cells using the model [item 20]. Preferably, output is provided in virtual reality format in real time [item 32].
