Title:
MICRO TWO-PHASE LIQUID DROPLET GENERATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/107898
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a micro two-phase liquid droplet generation device which does not require individual through holes corresponding to a plurality of flow channels for two-phase liquid droplet generation. The micro two-phase liquid droplet generation device according to the present invention comprises a row of a plurality of micro flow channels, a liquid transport port, and a slit, and is configured to form two-dispersed-phase parallel continuous streams at a first connection part between the plurality of micro flow channels through which a first dispersed phase flows and the slit through which a second dispersed phase flows. Furthermore, the micro two-phase liquid droplet generation device can be configured such that a continuous-phase liquid is sent to a second connection part between the plurality of micro flow channels through which the two-dispersed-phase parallel continuous streams flow and another liquid transport port that is preferably a second slit located downstream of the slit, the two-dispersed-phase parallel continuous streams are sheared at the second connection part to generate two-phase liquid droplets, in particular core-shell or Janus two-phase liquid droplets, and the product is collected from a discharge port.
