Abstract:
Microgels wherein the average particle diameter of a gel formed by using a hydrophilic compound capable of gelling is controlled to 0.1 to 1000 µm. External compositions containing these microgels impart an excellent feel in using while showing neither stickiness nor squeakiness. Even in case of adding a large amount of drug components (whitening agents, etc.) or salts, these compositions show no decrease in viscosity but sustain an excellent thickening effect and a high stability over a long time without suffering from moisture separation or the like.
