Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for inducing the death and suppressing the growth of bacteria causing infection from the skin during a surgical operation, by means of a local change in pH resulting from the degradation of biodegradable metal microneedles in skin. A microneedle patch, according to the present invention, may comprise: a patch main body which may be attached to a skin incision site of a patient; and a plurality of microneedles which may penetrate into the skin by protruding from at least one surface of the patch main body, and which are formed from a biodegradable metal which dissolves in the skin, thereby causing the pH level of the skin incision site to increase.
