Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel microwave absorber that is not black in color and solid at room temperature. A microwave absorber comprising an imidazolium salt represented by formula (1) [wherein: R1 represents a linear alkyl group the carbon atom number of which is not more than the carbon atom number of R2; R2 represents an alkyl group having 9 or more carbon atoms; R3 and R4 may be either the same or different and represent hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; and X represents a halogen element] is useful as a novel microwave absorber that is not black in color and solid at room temperature.
