Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a mid-drive electric motor using a rotary transformer, and an electric bicycle. Two technical solutions are provided for the mid-drive electric motor, and the three-housing and two-cavity structural design is used in both the technical solutions, wherein an electric motor mounting cavity and a rotary transformer mounting cavity, which are located on two sides of a transition housing, are constructed; and an electric motor assembly is arranged in the electric motor mounting cavity, and a rotary transformer is arranged in the rotary transformer mounting cavity. In the mid-drive electric motor provided by the present invention, the rotary transformer is mounted at a non-power output end of a rotating shaft, and by means of causing a main housing, the transition housing and an electric motor cover to be in butt joint, the electric motor mounting cavity and the rotary transformer mounting cavity, which are independent of a transmission cavity inside an electric motor housing, are formed, thereby facilitating the assembly of the electric motor assembly, the rotating shaft and the rotary transformer. In addition, by means of using the transition housing to isolate the electric motor mounting cavity from the rotary transformer mounting cavity, the rotary transformer can be isolated from the electric motor assembly, thereby preventing electromagnetic interference therebetween during rotation.
