Title:
MILKING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/094345
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
There is obtained a milking device for mother’s milk that is capable of providing universal milking data without being influenced by variations among individuals. The milking device makes it possible to detect exogenously harmful substances in the mother’s milk. It comprises a milk collecting vessel (2), a milking member (10), and a negative pressure generating source (100) that pulsatively produces negative pressure and atmospheric pressure periodically at fixed intervals. The milking member (10) is provided at one end with a teat cup (12) and at the other end with a connection plug (14) to the negative pressure generating source. The milking member (10) is partitioned into two spaces (A, B) by a partition plate (21). Further, the teat cup (12) has exchangeably mounted therein a teat cup liner (50) that has a softness and an elasticity such that it deforms toward the teat cup at a negative pressure and restores the original attitude at the atmospheric pressure and that has a size such that it contacts the areola and nipple.
