Title:
MIMO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND SIGNAL SEPARATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/101093
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A MIMO multiplex communication apparatus comprising a symbol replica candidate ranking part that ranks, in ascending order of expected branch metrics, residual received signals obtained by subtracting, from received signals subjected to an orthogonalization of transport signal using QR decomposition, the signal components of survival symbol replica candidates; a symbol replica candidate selecting part that selects symbol replica candidates in descending order of ranked symbol replica candidates; a branch metric calculating part that calculates the branch metrics of the selected symbol replica candidates; and a threshold comparing part that compares the calculated branch metrics with a predetermined threshold; wherein when a result of the comparison by the threshold comparing part shows that a branch metric is greater than the predetermined threshold, those ones of the symbol replica candidates which follow the corresponding stage are not subjected to the search but removed from the symbol replica candidates.
