Abstract:
Disclosed is a miniaturized three-port optical circulator with a standard optical interface, the miniaturized three-port optical circulator comprising: a circulator core (2) comprising a first polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (21), a 45-degree Faraday rotator (22), a 22.5-degree half-wave plate (23) and a second polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (24), wherein same are arranged in sequence, with an end face, away from the second polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (24), of the first polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (21) forming a common end, an end face, away from the first polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (21), of the second polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (24) forming a transmitting end, and an end face, adjacent to the 22.5-degree half-wave plate (23), of the second polarizing beam-splitting mechanism (24) forming a receiving end; and a metal shell (1) packaging the circulator core (2) therein, with an outer surface of the metal shell (1) being provided with a common end interface (3), a transmitting end interface (5) and a receiving end interface (4), wherein same are in communication with an accommodating cavity and are respectively directly opposite the common end, the transmitting end and the receiving end of the circulator core (2). The circulator has the advantages of being miniaturized, being low in cost, having standard optical interfaces, and using plug-and-play, has main performance indexes, such as isolation, differential loss and return loss, completely meeting industry standards, and has a wide market and commercial prospects.
