Abstract:
Provided is a mirror which can achieve high reflectance suitable for use, for example, in a truck or construction machinery, and which can maintain the function thereof as a mirror for a long-term period. The mirror 1A is provided with: a glass substrate 10; an aluminum-containing reflective layer 20 formed on the surface of the glass substrate by vacuum-deposition; and a transition metal-containing protective layer 30 formed on the surface of the reflective layer 20 by vacuum-deposition, wherein the transition metal is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of chrome, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, titanium, molybdenum, tantalum, copper, silver, gold, and platinum.
