Abstract:
A mirror target removal method employing a vehicle-mounted corner radar comprises: using a first radar to detect whether a stationary object is near the first radar, acquiring a reflection surface relative to the first radar by means of analysis, and using a second radar to acquire a first target; calculating a mirror region symmetrical to the first target with respect to the reflection surface; using the first radar to extract a second target in the mirror region; determining whether motion characteristics of the second target and the first target are symmetrical to each other with respect to the reflection surface, if so and if the symmetry is maintained for a time period, determining that the second target is a mirror image of the first target, and ignoring the second target; and otherwise, determining that no mirror target exists. A special relationship between the mirror target and a real target is used to achieve effective identification of the mirror target, thereby improving the sensing capability of a vehicle-mounted millimeter-wave radar with respect to a target and an environment in a blind region of a vehicle, and improving the safety of an assisted driving system and an automatic driving system.
