Abstract:
This mobile body comprises a plurality of vehicle wheels attached to a vehicle body, wherein the advancement direction of the vehicle body can be changed by driving the plurality of vehicle wheels without changing the orientations of the vehicle wheels. The mobile body comprises: a determination unit which determines whether an idle rotation occurs in at least one vehicle wheel among the plurality of vehicle wheels; and an idle rotation resolution control unit which, when the determination unit has determined that an idle rotation has occurred in a vehicle wheel, executes idle rotation resolution control for controlling the driving of the plurality of vehicle wheels so that the mobile body changes the advancement direction of the vehicle body and travels.
