Abstract:
A mobile communication device handling a plurality of types of moving picture files including video data of a common format. A software group installed includes a video decoder driver (32) for displaying a video based on the moving picture file on a display device (4) and a recording/reproduction library (22). A plurality of moving picture files are provided to the recording/reproduction library (22). When the moving picture file is in a format which can be processed by the video decoder driver (32), the moving picture file is provided to the video decoder driver (32). When the moving picture file is not in a format which can be processed by the video decoder driver (32), the moving picture file is separated so that video data contained in the moving picture file is provided to the video decoder driver (32).
