In response to the commencement of the handover of mobile station (12) from base station (14-1) to base station (14-2), base station (14-2) determines the ANCH2 to be allocated to mobile station (12) from among the frequency bands used by base station (14-2), and notifies mobile station (12) of the determined ANCH2 via a CCH (S100 to S102). Mobile station (12) shifts the frequency band used in the ANCH2 timeslot from the frequency band used by base station (14-1) to a frequency band which includes the ANCH2 if the ANCH2 timeslot is different from the ANCH1 timeslot (S108). Mobile station (12) then establishes a connection with base station (14-2) via ANCH2 (S110 to S120), severs the connection with base station (14-1) (S122), and completely shifts the frequency band used thereby to the frequency band of base station (14-2) (S124).
