The present invention relates to a mobile device and a control method therefor and, more specifically, to: a mobile device, such as a smartphone, which detects a user's hand motion by means of a low-power depth camera and which provides a three-dimensional user interface on the basis of the detected user's hand motion, so that the user can variously control the mobile device without touching the mobile device; and a control method therefor.
