Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to store, in a storage unit, a preferred attitude of a robot appropriate for the shape of a surface on which the robot is traveling, and when stopping the robot, to acquire the preferred attitude appropriate for the shape of the travel surface from the storage unit and perform attitude control to stop the robot. A preferred stopping attitude analysis unit for analyzing the preferred stopping attitude of a walking-type robot executes: processing for analyzing the shape of a surface on which the walking-type robot is traveling; stopping attitude analysis processing for analyzing stopping attitudes appropriate for the shape of the travel surface; stopping attitude evaluation value calculation processing for calculating evaluation values for the stopping attitudes; and processing for recording, in the storage unit, the stopping attitude having the highest evaluation value from among the stopping attitudes appropriate for the shape of the travel surface. Furthermore, a stopping control unit acquires the preferred stopping attitude for a travel surface shape clustering group from the storage unit and performs attitude control in which the robot is matched to the preferred stopping attitude to stop the robot.
