Abstract:

The mobile electronic device (1) is equipped with a touch panel (14), a display section (15), and a CPU (19) for displaying keys on the display section (15). When a key group (21) of a soft keyboard having a plurality of keys positioned within a predetermined area is to be displayed on the display section (15), the CPU (19) produces a display that is switchable between a first array in which each of the keys within the key group (21) are positioned within the predetermined area, and a second array in which at least one of the keys among the keys within the key group (21) is deleted or is positioned more compactly than the corresponding key size of the one key in the first array, and a handwritten input area (22) is disposed in the blank area created within the predetermined area by deletion or more compact positioning of the one key.
