Abstract:
A mobile exchange center inserted a video gateway includes two portion of a media gateway and a media gateway controller, in which said media gateway is embedded with a video gateway unit for realizing multimedia intercommunication between the 3G and the fixed communication network. A method is used for realizing intercommunication between the 3G and fixed communication network by said mobile exchange center. The multimedia intercommunication is realized by using said mobile exchange center and method without increasing additional cost of building network, running and maintenance. And it can avoid a waste of system source and increase the communication quality of the multimedia service, because of existing circuitous route in the course of a call.
