Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to achieve the heating of a battery and the cooling of a power conversion device at the same time. Provided is a mobile object comprising: an electric motor that acts as a driving source; a battery; a thermoelectric transducer; a power conversion device configured to convert power outputted from the battery into driving power for the electric motor, the power conversion device being disposed directly with respect to the battery or indirectly via the thermoelectric transducer; and a control unit configured to control the power supplied to the thermoelectric transducer. When the battery is in a predetermined low-temperature state, the control unit controls the power supplied to the thermoelectric transducer such that the surface of the thermoelectric transducer that is connected to the battery acts as a heat-radiating surface and the surface of the thermoelectric transducer that is connected to the power conversion device acts as a heat-absorbing surface.
