Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a mobile phone having means for containing cosmetics, in which a variety of cosmetics can be contained.

Background Art

[3] In general, mobile phones refer to telephones capable of communicating with telephone subscribers or other mobile phones through a base station while arbitrarily moving within a mobile communication service area. The number of mobile communication subscribers has recently been increased due to convenience and advent of an information age, these mobile phones become a necessity of everyday life, namely important objects that must be carried anytime anywhere.

[4] Meanwhile, like the mobile phones, one of the other portable necessities is cosmetics.

The kinds of these cosmetics are gradually increased for bodily beauty and skin health. The number and kind of the cosmetics, which women have to carry, show a tendency toward gradual increase.

[5] As described above, the mobile phone and the cosmetics must always be carried when going out because they are the necessities of life. This is a trouble even to women who carry a handbag, a tote bag, or the like for holding the mobile phone and the cosmetics. In particular, although the women come back from a relatively near place, a separate bag for holding the mobile phone and the cosmetics in order to carry the mobile phone and the cosmetics must be carried, which causes inconvenience.

Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[7] The present invention has been made to solve the foregoing problems with the prior art, and therefore the present invention is directed to incorporate portable necessities, particularly a mobile phone and cosmetics with each other, so as to reduce the number of articles to be carried, thereby promoting convenience such as portability and making it convenient to use the cosmetics. Technical Solution

[8] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mobile phone, which includes a mobile phone body; and means provided in the mobile phone body for containing cosmetics.

[9] Here, the means for containing cosmetics may be integrated with or detachable from the mobile phone body. [10] Further, when formed in the body in an integral type, the means for containing cosmetics may include a refill container, which allows the cosmetics to be refilled. [11] Also, the means for containing cosmetics may comprise a compact.

[12] Meanwhile, the body may include a lower body and an upper body, both of which are slidably coupled with each other, and the means for containing cosmetics may include cosmetics containing portions, which are installed in the lower body and are opened and closed by the upper body. [13] Further, the means for containing cosmetics may include cosmetics containing portions, which are installed in the lower body so as to be exposable and are opened and closed by a cover. [14] Also, the means for containing cosmetics may include a cosmetics container body, which is hinged to the mobile phone body and is mounted in a mounting space formed in the body so as to be rotated to protrude from the body. [15] In addition, the means for containing cosmetics may include a cosmetics container body, which is mounted in a mounting space formed in the body so as to be able to slide outwards from the mounting space.

Advantageous Effects

[16] As set forth above, the present invention has the following effects.

[17] First, the means for containing cosmetics is provided to the mobile phone, thereby reducing the number of portable articles, and promoting convenience such as portability. [18] Second, when the mobile phone is carried in the hand of the user, the cosmetics can be directly used without looking for the cosmetics and then taking the cosmetics out of a bag, and thus it is convenient to use the cosmetics. [19] Third, the means for containing cosmetics is designed to be detached from the mobile phone, so that it can be easily replaced by another means in which the same or a different type of cosmetics is contained. [20] Fourth, in the case in which the means for containing cosmetics is integrally formed with the mobile phone, this helps reduce the overall size of the mobile phone. Even in this case, when the means for containing cosmetics has the refill container, the means for containing cosmetics can be lastingly filled with the same or different types of cosmetics. [21]

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [32] The present invention is designed to provide means for containing cosmetics in a body of a mobile phone so as to reduce the number of articles to be carried, thereby promoting portability and making it easy to use cosmetics.

[33] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which exemplary embodiments thereof are shown. In the following description, well-known functions or constructions by those skilled in the art will not be described in detail when they would obscure the invention in unnecessary detail. [34]

Mode for the Invention [35] FIG. 1 is a bottom perspective view illustrating a mobile phone 100 having means for containing cosmetics 120 according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1, the mobile phone 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes a body 110 in which the means for containing cosmetics

120 is provided.

[36] The mobile phone 100 according to the first embodiment has the means for containing cosmetics 120, which is provided in the bottom of the body 110, and can be constructed not only as a slide mobile phone, as shown in FIG. 1, but also as a bar mobile phone or a folder mobile phone.

[37] The body 110 is provided with a display 111, which displays an idle screen, telephone number, letters and the like on the front side thereof, and a number of buttons 112, which is used to input numbers, letters, symbols and the like and to select functions, so that the mobile phone 100 can provide its basic function, namely supporting a telephone call in a mobile communication service area.

[38] While the means for containing cosmetics 120 provided in the bottom of the body

110 is provided to be detachable from the body 110 in this embodiment, it can be constructed to be integral with the body 110.

[39] In the case where the means for containing cosmetics 120 is provided to be detachable from the bottom of the body 110, a bottom case 121 forming the lower part of the container can be detachably coupled to the body 110 while acting as a cover of a battery 113, or be integrated with a battery cover. In consequence, when the means for containing cosmetics 120 is detached from the body 110, it exposes the battery 113, so that the battery 113 can be replaced.

[40] Alternatively to this embodiment, the means for containing cosmetics 120 detachably coupled to the body 110 can be provided as a separate part from the body 110. For example, the means for containing cosmetics 120 will not form a part of the body 110 such as the battery cover, but can be fixed to the body 110 by interference fitting or sliding coupling. Here, the body 110 can be provided with a hook or latch member, which protrudes by elasticity, so as to catch an edge or a portion of the means for containing cosmetics 120, so that the means for containing cosmetics 120 cannot be easily detached from the body 110.

[41] The means for containing cosmetics 120 can be constructed suitable to the characteristics of cosmetics to be contained, such as foundation, powder, eye shadow or twin cake, and can preferably be a compact that is a pallet shaped case containing cosmetic.

[42] In the case where the means for containing cosmetics 120 is a compact, the bottom case 121 is hinged to an upper case 122, which can rotate with respect to the bottom case 121 to open or close the means for containing cosmetics 120. The upper case 122 or the bottom case 121 can be provided with a hook or latch member so as to fix each other. The bottom case 121 is provided with containing portions 123 and 124, in which one or more types of cosmetics and a puff (not shown) are contained, respectively, and the upper case 122 is provided with a mirror 125.

[43] The means for containing cosmetics 120 can be constructed as a refill container in

which the containing portions 123 are detachable from the bottom case 121.

[44] FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a mobile phone 200 having means for containing cosmetics 220 according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 2, like the first embodiment, the mobile phone 200 according to the second embodiment of the present invention includes a body 210 in which the means for containing cosmetics 220 is provided. Below, a description will be made of some features of the first embodiment different from those of the second embodiment.

[45] The means for containing cosmetics 220 is provided in the front side of the body

210. Due to the position of the means for containing cosmetics 220, the mobile phone 200 of this embodiment can be constructed as a folder mobile phone, in which a lower body 211 is hinged to an upper body 212, rather than as a bar or slide mobile phone.

[46] The means for containing cosmetics 220 can be a pallet shaped compact, which includes a bottom case 221 and an upper case 222. While this embodiment is illustrated with the means for containing cosmetics 220 integrated with the front side of the body 210, the container 220 can be detachably fixed to the front side of the body 210. Since the means for containing cosmetics 220 is integrated with the body 210, it can be constructed in such a manner that cosmetics can be refilled therein. For this, cosmetic-containing portions 223 are constructed as refill containers so that cosmetics can be refilled therein.

[47] Below, a description will be made of the operation of the mobile phones 100 and 200 constructed as above according to the first and second embodiments of the present invention.

[48] The means for containing cosmetics 120 and 220 provided in the body 110 and 210 of the mobile phone 100 and 200 can reduce the number of articles that a user carries, thereby improving the convenience of the user.

[49] The user carrying the mobile phone 100 or 200 in the hand can directly make up the face using cosmetics without searching for a cosmetics case in a bag. In consequence, the user can conveniently use the cosmetics and also easily make up the face irrespective of place and time.

[50] In the mobile phone 100 according to the first embodiment, the means for containing cosmetics 120 is constructed detachable from the body 110 so that the means for containing cosmetics 120 can be easily replaced with another cosmetics -containing means in which the same or a different type of cosmetics is contained. In consequence, consumers can easily select or carry a variety of cosmetics.

[51] In the mobile phone 200 according to the second embodiment, the means for containing cosmetics 120 is integrated with the body 210 to help reduce the overall size. Even in this case, the containing portions 223 of the means for containing cosmetics 220 are constructed as refill containers so that the same or a different type of

cosmetics can be continuously refilled therein.

[52] FIGS. 3 A and 3B are perspective views illustrating a mobile phone 300 having means for containing cosmetics 320 according to a third embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIGS. 3A and 3B, the mobile phone 300 according to the third embodiment is constructed as a slide mobile phone. In the slide mobile phone 300, a body 310 includes a lower body 311 and an upper body 312 slidably coupled to the lower body 311, and the means for containing cosmetics 320 includes cosmetic- containing portions 321, which are inserted into the lower body 311 and are opened/ closed by the upper body 312.

[53] The cosmetic-containing portions 321 function as containers in which a variety of cosmetics such as foundation, powder and eye shadow is contained, and can constructed as one or more cosmetic-containing portions, which are integrated with the lower body 311. In this embodiment, three (3) of the cosmetic-containing portions 321 can be fitted into three (3) mounting recesses of the lower body 311, respectively, so as to be detachable therefrom.

[54] In the body 310, operation buttons 311a are provided on one end (i.e., the lower end) of the lower body 311 opposite the means for containing cosmetics 320, and the upper body 312 is constructed to slide on the lower body 311 in both directions, particularly, both toward the operation buttons 311a and toward the means for containing cosmetics 320, so that the operation buttons 311a and the means for containing cosmetics 320 can be selectively opened according to the sliding direction of the upper body 312.

[55] A cosmetic brush 330 can be provided in the body 310 so that a user can use cosmetics contained in the means for containing cosmetics 320. Of course, the cosmetic brush 330 can be provided not only in the bodies 110 and 210 of the foregoing embodiments but also in bodies of fourth to eighth embodiments below.

[56] The cosmetic brush 330 can be fixed to or installed in the body 310 according to a variety of methods. In this embodiment, the cosmetic brush 330 is connected to the body 310 by a string, so as to act as an accessory of the mobile phone 300. For this, the cosmetic brush 330 includes a stick 331, which the user holds in the hand, a bristle portion 332 attached to one end of the stick 331, a cap 333 detachably interference- fitted into a coupling portion 331a of the stick 331 so as to cover the bristle portion 332, and a connecting member 333a such as a string or a wire, which connects the cap 333 to the body 310.

[57] Below, a description will be made of the operation of the mobile phone 300 constructed as above according to the third embodiment of the present invention.

[58] In a parking position, the upper body 312 is located to conceal the operation buttons

311a and the means for containing cosmetics 320 on the lower body 311. As shown in FIG. 3A, when the user attempts to have a telephone call or use the operation

buttons 311a, she/he pushes up the body 312 to slide on the lower body 311, thereby exposing the operation buttons 31 Ia on the lower body 311. As shown in FIG. 3B, when the user intends to use the cosmetics in the means for containing cosmetics 320, she/he pushes down the body to slide on the lower body 311, thereby exposing the means for containing cosmetics 320 on the lower body 311, and then uses the cosmetics in the means for containing cosmetics 320 using the bristle portion 332 attached to the stick 311a, which is detached from the cap 333.

[59] FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a mobile phone 400 having means for containing cosmetics 420 according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 4, the mobile phone 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention includes a body 410 in which the means for containing cosmetics 420 is provided. The means for containing cosmetics 420 includes cosmetics- containing portions 421, which are provided in the body 410 so as to be opened/closed by a cover 411.

[60] The cosmetic-containing portions 421 function as containers in which a variety of cosmetics such as foundation, powder and eye shadow is contained, and can be constructed as one or more cosmetic-containing portions, which are integrated with the body 410. In this embodiment, three (3) of the cosmetic-containing portions 421 are refill containers, which can be fitted into and detached from three (3) mounting recesses in the body 410, respectively.

[61] In a folder mobile phone, the cosmetic-containing portions 421 of this embodiment are illustrated as being installed in the body 410, in which operation buttons 412 are provided. However, this is not intended to limit the application of the present invention, but the cosmetic-containing portions 421 can be installed in another body of the folder mobile phone in which a display is provided. Furthermore, the cosmetic- containing portions 421 can also be installed in a body of a slide mobile phone or a bar mobile phone.

[62] The cover 411 can be hinged, at one side (i.e., an edge) thereof, to the body 410 so as to open/close the means for containing cosmetics 420 by rotation. In order to prevent the cover 411 from being unexpectedly opened, the cover 411 is provided with fastening protrusions 41 Ia on both ends thereof, so as to engage with fastening recesses 413, which are in both ends of a fastening portion of the body 410.

[63] Below, a description will be made of the operation of the mobile phone 400 constructed as above according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention.

[64] As shown in FIG. 4, when a user intends to use cosmetics, she/he rotates the cover

411 to open and expose the means for containing cosmetics 420. Then, the user can use the cosmetics in the means for containing cosmetics 420, which is exposed from the cover 411, and after finished using the cosmetics, rotates the cover 411 to close the

means for containing cosmetics 420.

[65] FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating the key parts of a mobile phone 500 having means for containing cosmetics 520 according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 5, in the mobile phone 500 according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention, the means for containing cosmetics 520 includes a cosmetics container body 521, which is hinged to a mobile phone body 510 and is fitted into a mounting space 511 of the mobile phone body 510.

[66] The mounting space 511 is formed adjacent to an end of the mobile phone body 510, so that the cosmetics container body 521 hinged to the mobile phone body 510 can rotate in one direction to be received therein or rotate in the opposite direction to protrude therefrom.

[67] The cosmetics container body 521 is hinged, at one end thereof, to a hinge shaft (not shown) in the mounting space 511 of the mobile phone body 510 so as to be fitted into the mounting space 511 or protrude from the mobile phone body 510 according to the rotating direction thereof. The cosmetics container body 521 has one or more containing recesses 522, which contain a variety of cosmetics such as foundation, powder and eye shadow. While the cosmetics can be directly contained in the containing recesses 522, a refill container can be detachably received in each of the containing recesses 522 so as to contain cosmetics.

[68] In order to prevent the cosmetics container body 521 from being unexpectedly rotated to open, the cosmetics container body 521 is provided with a fastening recess 523 in the bottom thereof, so as to engage with a fastening protrusion 512, which is formed in the inside portion of the mounting space 511.

[69] The mobile phone 500 having the means for containing cosmetics 520 of this embodiment can be constructed not only as a slide mobile phone but also as a bar or folder mobile phone.

[70] Below, a description will be given of the operation of the mobile phone 500 constructed as above according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention.

[71] When a user intends to use the cosmetics, she/he rotates the cosmetics container body

521 to protrude from the mobile phone body 510 as shown in FIG. 5. Then, the user can use the cosmetics contained in the exposed containing recesses 522, and after finished using the cosmetics, rotates the cosmetics container body 521 so as to be fitted into the mounting space 511 of the cosmetics container body 521.

[72] FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating the key parts of a mobile phone 600 having means for containing cosmetics 620 according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 6, in the mobile phone 600 according to the sixth embodiment of the present invention, the means for containing cosmetics 620 includes a cosmetics container body 621, which can be slid into and from a mounting space 611

of a mobile phone body 610.

[73] In this embodiment, the mounting space 611 extends across the mobile phone body

610 so that the cosmetics container body 621 can be slidably fitted therein or slidably protrude therefrom when a portion of the cosmetics container body 621 is pressed.

[74] The cosmetics container body 621 has one or more containing recesses 622 in the top portion thereof, which contain a variety of cosmetics such as foundation, powder and eye shadow. While the cosmetics can be directly contained in the containing recesses 622, a refill container can be detachably received in each of the containing recesses 622 so as to contain cosmetics.

[75] In order to prevent the cosmetics container body 621 from being unexpectedly slide out from the mounting space 611, the cosmetics container body 621 is provided with a fastening protrusion 623 so as to engage with a fastening recess (not shown), which is formed in the inside portion of the mounting space 611.

[76] The cosmetics container body 621 can be constructed to be detachable from the mounting space 611 by sliding. Alternatively, a stopper can protrude from an edge of the cosmetics container body 621 to engage with a fastening protrusion (not shown), which is formed in the inside portion of the mounting space 611, so that the cosmetics container body 621 can slide only within a limited range without being completely detached from the mobile phone body 610.

[77] FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating the key parts of a mobile phone 700 having means for containing cosmetics 720 according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 7, the mobile phone 700 having the means for containing cosmetics 720 according to the seventh embodiment of the present invention is similar to the mobile phone 600 according to the sixth embodiment of the present invention in that the means for containing cosmetics 720 includes a cosmetics container body 721, which is mounted in a mounting space 711 formed in a mobile phone body 710 so as to be able to slide outwards from the mounting space 711 and has containing recesses 722 in which cosmetics are contained; but is different from the mobile phone 600 in that the mounting space 711 is formed as a recess on one edge of the mobile phone body 710 such that the cosmetics container body 721 can be fitted and withdrawn in a longitudinal direction of the mobile phone body 710.

[78] The cosmetics container body 721 can be provided with a withdrawal knob 721a in order to facilitate withdrawal.

[79] FIGS. 8 A and 8B are perspective views illustrating a mobile phone having means for containing cosmetics 200 according to an eighth embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIGS. 8 A and 8B, the mobile phone 800 having the means for containing cosmetics 820 according to the eighth embodiment of the present invention is similar to the mobile phone 700 according to the seventh embodiment of the present invention

in that the means for containing cosmetics 820 includes a cosmetics container body 821, which is mounted in a mounting space 811 formed in a mobile phone body 810 so as to be able to slide outwards from the mounting space 811 and has containing recesses 822 in which cosmetics are contained, and in that the mounting space 811 is formed as a recess in the mobile phone body 810 such that the cosmetics container body 821 can be fitted and withdrawn in a longitudinal direction of the mobile phone body 810.

[80] In the eighth embodiment, the mobile phone body 810 is provided with a cover 812, which is opened and closed by rotation, at a gate of the mounting space 811. The cosmetics container body 821 fitted in the mounting space 811 can be exposed and withdrawn by opening the cover 812.

[81] Meanwhile, the cosmetics container body 821 can be provided with a withdrawal knob 821a on one side thereof so as to be pulled out when withdrawn.

[82] Below, a description will be made of the operation of the mobile phones having means for containing cosmetics, having this configuration, according to the fifth through eighth embodiments of the present invention.

[83] As illustrated in FIGS. 5, 6, 7 and 8B, when a user intends to use the cosmetics, the cosmetics container body 621, 721 or 821 is withdrawn to protrude from the mounting space 611, 711 or 811 of the mobile phone body 610, 710 or 810, and thereby the containing recesses 622, 722 or 822 are exposed. Thus, the cosmetics contained in the exposed containing recesses 622, 722 or 822 are used. When the use of the cosmetics is completed, the cosmetics container body 621, 721 or 821 is pushed into and mounted in the mounting space 611, 711 or 811.

[84] Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIG. 8B, in the case of the mobile phone 800 having means for containing cosmetics according to the eighth embodiment of the present invention, the cover 812 is rotated to open and close the gate of the mounting space 811 in which the cosmetics container body 821 is mounted.

[85] As described above, according to the exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the means for containing cosmetics is provided to the mobile phone, thereby reducing the number of articles to be carried, and promoting convenience such as portability. Further, when the user is carrying the mobile phone in the hand, she/he can directly use cosmetics without looking for the cosmetics and then taking the cosmetics out of a bag, and thus conveniently use the cosmetics. The means for containing cosmetics is adapted to be detached from the mobile phone, so that it can be easily replaced by another means in which the same or a different type of cosmetics is contained. In the case in which the means for containing cosmetics is integrally formed with the mobile phone, this helps reduce the overall size of the mobile phone. Even in this case, when the means for containing cosmetics is constructed as a refill container,

the means for containing cosmetics can be continuously refilled with the same or a different type of cosmetics.

[86] In the drawings and specification, typical exemplary embodiments of the invention have been disclosed, and although specific terms are employed, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only and are not for the purposes of limitation, the scope of the invention being set forth in the following claims.
