Abstract:
A mobile robot and control method therefor according to the present invention, which is configured to move a main body while cleaning a floor surface by rotating a cleaning cloth using a motor, determines traveling state by analyzing the location change of the main body, and, by sensing absence of the cleaning cloth according to the traveling state, controls movement and outputs warning, thereby outputting an alarm on whether the cleaning cloth is installed so that a user may recognize the installation of the cleaning cloth, and stopping the movement of the main body to prevent damage to the floor surface and prevent accidents.
