Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a control method therefor, and, more specifically, provides a mobile terminal and a control method therefor, the mobile terminal comprising: a body; an input unit for receiving a user input; a display coupled to the body so that a display area viewed from the front of the body can vary according to the switching between an extended display mode and a reduced display mode; and a control unit, wherein the control unit outputs at least one application on the display in the extended display mode and, if an event is received, controls an application corresponding to the event so that same is outputted in a first region on the basis of a signal confirming the received event, and, when a preset application is being outputted in the extended display mode, the first region is an event application region and, when the preset application is not being outputted in the extended display mode, the first region is a main region of the extended display mode.
