Abstract:
Provided is a mobile terminal, according to the present invention, for performing a three-dimensional vision-based UI at low power without direct touching and clearly identifying a time point at which the three-dimensional vision-based UI is performed, the mobile terminal comprising: a proximity sensor for sensing whether an object approaches the mobile terminal; a depth camera for acquiring a depth image by capturing the object; a memory for storing at least one command; and a controller connected to the proximity sensor, the depth camera, and the memory, wherein, when the approach of the object is sensed on the basis of an initial value of the proximity sensor, the controller acquires a depth image through the depth camera according to the at least one command stored in the memory and updates the initial value of the proximity sensor on the basis of the acquired depth image.
