Abstract:
An X-ray control circuit adjusts the frequency of alternating-current power converted by an inverter in such a way that a tube voltage value detected by a tube voltage detector matches a preset target tube voltage value. With a storage battery that is not degraded, an operating amount of the inverter that is required until the detected tube voltage value reaches the target tube voltage value is low. Meanwhile, the operating amount of the inverter is high with a degraded storage battery. By employing this characteristic, a determining unit determines that a storage battery is degraded if an inverter frequency required by the time the detected tube voltage value reaches the target tube voltage value is larger than a preset threshold Fth. Since the degradation of the storage battery is determined using the operating amount of the inverter in an actual usage state, the state of degradation of the storage battery can be ascertained more accurately than in the past.
