Claims:

1- Improvement and modification of manual car back steering drive to be power steering. The new steering drive system comprise modified car bridge (two bases for fixing skater group in specific and regular distance in the lime and circular shape), modified the muffler of the car (front muffler box and muffler oven) (designing a new suitable muffler box to adapt with the modification in Car Bridge), modified crank drum (comprises circular part made from cast iron and has a front part connected with crank bar by a nut between the crank drum and crank bar), suitable stern to pull the steer of motion transferring in the suitable hole of the drum to produce a suitable motion power pump, made an axial system motion, suitable connector from steering drive system to the skater group, new power fixing base, new oil tank, pressure and feedback group, and two lower control arm.

2- According to claim 1, the modification in Car Bridge is making two bases for fixing skater group in specific and regular distance in the lune and circular shape. These two bases are divided into pieces. One of them fixed with the bridge by welding and the other complementary piece is moveable to work as fixing means of skater group to absorb shocks. The movable piece is fixing with the other fixed piece by two bolts with suitable scales.

3- According .to claim 1, modification of car muffler (front muffler box). This modification includes designing a new suitable muffler box to adapt with the modification in Car Bridge. This new design of muffler box is because the old box doesn't fix and suitable with the new bridge and after fix skater grouping their place to be suitable with the bridge modification.

4- According to claim 1 and 3 the path of muffler pipe is modified to be suitable the new design.

5- According to claim 1, modification in the crank cylinder drum. It comprises circular part made from cast iron and has a front part connected with crank bar by a nut between the crank drum and crank bar. Two steer (belt) are mounted on Crank drum to transfer motion from the motor to the water pump and dynamo by transferring motion steer (belt).

6- According to claim 1, and 5, a new design of crank drum with two holes to enable the drum to transfer the motion from the motor to each of water pump and power steering pump with a new transferring

motion steer (belt) which has a specific qualification to fit with the turn speed of motor and to be able to transfer this speed to power steering pump with a least energy loss. This loss of energy is due to the friction.

7- According to claim I 3 5 and 6 the crank drum is designed with a suitable scales and specific standard to mount on the crank (motor control bar). The modification in the drum is without any modification in the crank.

8- According to claim 1 and 5 a suitable stern to pull the steer of motion transferring in the suitable hole of the drum to produce a suitable motion. This stern is made of raw materials differ from the ordinary stern.

9- According to claim 1, the engine room is prepared to fix the power pump by make a special base in this room and mount the pump in the face of the room. The power pump is fixed in the base by a suitable rivet.

10- According to claim 1, an axial system to fix a skater group (unit of motion transferring of steering drive system as horizontal ruler system by the oil pressure of power pump). The axial system allows fixing skater group in the appropriate place with a suitable usage method.

11- According to claim 1, a connection between steering drive axle. This connection is a toothed shaft from one side and welded with a piece in the shape of U in the other side. The U piece is to mount the cross part in it to transfer the motion and produce easy motion in all directions (right, left, up, and down). The cross part is fixed in the shaft and ended with a part in the shape of U. a metal part is welded with the cross part. The metal part is ended with a toothed pipe to mount with skater. Joint part connects with the toothed pipe, and the joint part has another cross part connected with steering drive shaft to transfer the motion from steering drive to the skater easily. '

12- According to claim I 3 a suitable oil tank as a vessel of power oil (hydraulic oil). This oil tank is mounted in a suitable place in the engine room. This vessel is designed to fit with the pump, hoses, and components which are feed by oil. The raw material of this new tank is suitable for the used oil properties (like viscosity, and density).

13- According to claim 1, group of pressure and feedback to fit with available distance between parts. Pressure and feedback group consist

of pipes, and hoses (trunks) which are designed by a suitable pressure and scales for pressure and density of the steering drive oil (hydraulic oil). We take in consideration the entering direction, returning direction, and pumping the oil. The pumping of the oil is made by the pump in a closed circle to the hydraulic system. Pipes and trunks are designed in an innovated way to produce a suitable used from where pressure force of oil and pumping force of pump to prevent any leakage of oil due to any defect in the instruction or connections.

14- According to claim 1, two lower control arms connect and transfer the motion from skater to the wheel. By two lower control arm we can control the orientation of steering drive to right or left if necessary. Two lower control arms are two toothed shaft in both direction where one side connected with skater group and the other with suspension system ball. This ball is designed in a different way from the steering drive ball. Therefore we can control the angles of car directions, and this is new for car balance. The new car balance way is made by dismounting (separating), and tying for ball and then connect a nut to fix it in a suitable way (car balancing way) after control car balancing.

Description:

Modification of manual Car steering drive to be power steering

Technical field:

This invention relates to improvement and modification of manual car steering drive to be power steering. This modification is done by replacing old drive steering system of the manual cars by power steering system which comprises modification of Car Bridge, modification of transferring the rotation motion of steering system (steering shaft), adding skater, oil pump, oil pump tank, group of trunks, and pipes for transferring power oil.

The invention relates to improvement and modification of manual car back steering drive to be power steering. The new steering drive system comprise power pump, steering drive shaft, skater (rack and pinion), oil power tank, group of trunks, and pipes for transferring power oil.

Also we improve the car bridge by making some bases to fix the skater group and its associated oil pipes. Also, I make modification in the muffler of the car (front muffler box and muffler oven).

By using this new system, the manual back Car steering drive is become more flexible and the motion of the car is easier. We take LADA cars as an example of this implement this invention.

Background art:

The Manual back Car steering drive in cars which use back pulling system comprise of spindle shaft, steering shaft system for transferring the rotation motion, suspension system bridge shaft, and steering drive box. This box is designed by spiral and worm gear system. The manual car steering driving system has been known and used since 1995. Also this system makes difficult motion of steering drive system.

The main problem of the old steering drive system is the difficult motion of the steering drive system. This problem is happened due to transferring motion group. This group comprises spiral and worm gear, steering shaft system for transferring the rotation motion, suspension system bridge shaft, and scab suspension system bridge shaft. Also the old cars have many troubles of steering drive system.

Disclosure of the invention:

This invention relates to the improvement and modification of manual back car steering drive to be power steering. The old back pulling system of manual cars comprise of spindle shaft, steering shaft system for. transferring the rotation motion, spiral and worm gear system, and steering drive box and balls. We make an experiment on LADA cars to implement this new improvement of car steering drive. We take LADA cars ,as an example because the problem of manual- steering drive of back pulling car system is happened to LADA cars. In spite of the main problem of manual steering drive system of many cars like LADA 5 the manual steering drive system has many advantages. So, we make modification of these manual cars to overcome the difficult motion of the manual steering drive system and also because the steering drive box, suspension system bridge balls, steering drive balls, and suspension system bridge shaft are more exposed to broken and â– damage. ,,

The invention relates to modification in Car Bridge to be able to carry power steering drive. The modification in car bridge is done by add two bases in specific and regular distance in the lune shape. These two base work as pillow above this pillow small piece of tire to absorb shocks. The piece of the tire which adds above the base has two holes to fix two bolts in it. There is also a small piece to complete the shape of the lune to be a circle shape. This complementary piece is moveable to work as, fixing means of skater group. The two bases are made of iron slice in about 2 mm, and we make a model for theses bases.

Also we make modification of car muffler (front muffler.box). This modification includes designing a new suitable muffler box to adapt with the modification in Car Bridge. This new design of muffler box is because the old box doesn't fix and suitable with the new bridge and after fix skater grouping their place to be suitable with the bridge modification. Also, the path of muffler pipe is modified to be suitable the new design. According to another part of the invention, we make modification in .the crank cylinder drum. Old crank cylinder drum comprises circular part made from cast iron and has a front part connected wich crank bar by a nut between the crank drum and crank bar. Crank drum transfer motion from the motor to the water pump and dynamo by transferring motion steer (belt). So we design anew crank druni with two holes to enable the drum to transfer the motion from the motor to each of water pump and power steering pump with a new transferring motion steer (belt) which has a specific qualification to fit

with the turn speed of motor and to be able to transfer this speed to power steering pump with a least energy loss. This loss of energy is due to the friction. Also, this drum is designed a suitable scales and specific standard to mount on the crank (motor control bar). The modification in the drum is without any modification in the crank.

Also, we make a suitable stem to pull the steer of motion transferring in the suitable hole of the drum to produce a suitable motion. This stem is made of raw materials differ from the ordinary stern.

The engine room is prepared to fix the power pump by make a special base in this room and mount the pump in the face of the room. The power pump is fixed in the base by a suitable rivet.

We make axial system to fix a skater group (unit of motion transferring of steering drive system as horizontal ruler system by the oil pressure of power pump). The axial system allows fixing skater group in the appropriate place with a suitable usage method.

We make a connection between steering drive axle. This connection is a toothed shaft from one side and welded with a piece in the shape of U in the other side. The U piece is to mount the cross part in it to transfer the motion and produce easy motion in all directions (right, left, up, and down). The , cross part is fixed in the shaft and ended with a, part in the shape of U. a metal part is welded with the cross part. The metal part is ended with a toothed pipe to mount with skater. Joint part connects with the toothed pipe, and the joint part has another cross part connected with steering drive shaft to transfer the motion from steering drive to tihe skater easily.

Also, we make a suitable oil tank as a vessel of power oil (hydraulic oil), and we design a suitable place in the engine room for mounting the oil tank. This vessel is designed to fit with the pump, hoses, and components which are feed by oil. The raw material of this new tank is suitable for the used oil properties (like viscosity, and density).

We design the group of pressure and feedback to fit with available distance between parts. Pressure and feedback group consist of pipes, and hoses (trunks) which are designed by a suitable pressure and scales for pressure and density of the steering drive oil (hydraulic oil). We take in consideration the entering direction, returning direction, and pumping the oil. The pumping of the oil is made by the pump in a closed circle to the hydraulic system. Details of drawing:

Figure 1 produces a general view for power steering drive system. This new power steering system mounted in car (LADA as an example). The figure presents the component and parts of the face of the car (LADA). Muffler box (1) is modified according this invention, and two torsion bars connected with lower suspension system which is connected with the engine bridge (5). The lower suspension system (6) connected with suspension system ball (8). Steering drive arm (shaft) (9) transfers the motion to wheels. Where steering drive ball rotate in circular and axial motion. Skater group (10) connects the right side with the left side of the car. Pipe (11) is for entering oil to the tank. The tire of the wheel connected with drum which is connected with transferring motion axle ball of the suspension system. Gearbox (3) connected with steering drive system. Skater group has a small piece of tire material (14) to protect the lower part of the skater from dust. This small piece has lubricated on it. Lower control arm (16) consists of two parts for control wheel distance in two sides of the car by decreasing or increasing to control car balancing.

According to figure 2, suspension system ball (connected to the wheel) (21) connected with lower control arm end (22) connected with skater group (24) and its connection (25). Skater group is covered by a small piece of tire material (23) and has pulley. Another small piece of tire material (27) is identical with the part (23). The oil exit hole (28) connects oil to the steering drive system.

Figure 3 present oil trunk (32), trunk joined (33), oil trunk (34) connected with the other side by a connector (35). Also figure 2 present the shape of drum (31), and show the new bridge design and its component.

Figures from 4 to 6 component and parts of the bridge and power steering drive. Lower control arm pivot (56), oil pump carrier (56), fixing joint (58) power drum cylinder (57). Power pump consists of pump nut (51 ), steering drum (52), outer trunk (hose) to carry oil from pump after the pump pull the oil from the tank oil (53), oil joint (54), inner oil trunk to pull oil from oil tank to the pump.

Figure 6 presents modified bridge, which has right reinforcement joint (61), middle reinforcement joint (62), and left reinforcement joint (65). Also figure 6 present the place where we fix bridge, skater (63), and lower chassis (64).

Figures 7 to 9 present diagram for pumping rate of power oil with motor turns speed.

Figure 10 presents a diagram to show the relation between power motions with car motion.
