Abstract:
An adjustable sill assembly (10) includes an elongated substrate base (12) composed of a molded composite material and defining a T-shaped slot (38) extending along the length of the substrate base (12) and open to a top surface of the substrate base (12); a sill plate (14) connected with the substrate base (12); a rise (16) having a top downwardly-extending legs (42 and 44) defining an interior of the riser (16), the interior of the riser (16) having a pair of flanges (48 and 50) angling downward and toward one another; and means for connecting the substrate base with the riser including a T-nut (62) having a flange (64) and a corresponding screw, the T-nut (62) being slideably and non-rotatably supported within the T-shaped slot (38) and the screw (70) being rotatably and slideably supported by the pair of flanges (48 and 50) and wherein the riser (16) is secured to the substrate base (12) by inserting the screw (70) into the T-nut (62).
