Provided is a molding machine with a high working rate that is capable of preventing malfunctions of the clamping device and the mold device when stopped. The molding machine is configured from a machine table (1), a clamping device (2) and an injection device (3) disposed on the machine table (1), sensors for detecting the operating states of various units of the molding machine, a display unit (4b) provided at an appropriate place on the machine table (1), a display lamp (6) and a buzzer (7), and a system controller (10) for determining whether or not a malfunction has occurred from the operation states of various units of the molding machine and, when it is determined that a malfunction has occurred, operating the display unit (4b), the display lamp (6) and the buzzer (7) to issue the necessary warning. When the system controller (10) determines from the operation states of the various units of the molding machine that operation of the molding machine is stopped and the clamping device is in a clamped state, the system controller starts a timer (11) to start timing and, after a specified time set by said timer has elapsed, operates the display unit (4b), the display lamp (6) and the buzzer (7) to sound an alarm.
