Abstract:
A molten-iron-inoculated artificial graphite negative electrode material and a manufacturing method therefor. The method comprises the following steps: 1, by means of the high saturation solubility of molten iron to carbon in a high temperature range of 1750-2000ºC, subjecting a fine powder of a graphite precursor to surface corrosion and spheroidization, and by means of the stirring function of electromagnetic induction, subjecting the fine powder the of the graphite precursor to surface friction by the high-temperature molten iron so as to accelerate stress-induced recrystallization in the fine powder and promote graphitization; 2, by means of the relatively low saturation solubility of carbon during the cooling process of the molten iron, allowing supersaturated carbon to be precipitated out from the molten iron and to undergo epitaxial crystallization on the surface of the fine powder to form a carbon coating shell; and 3, floating the naturally coated graphite powder upward above the liquid level of the molten iron, sucking out the graphite powder by means of negative pressure, cooling same to 300ºC, discharging same from a furnace, continuously cooling same, and demagnetizing same to obtain the negative electrode material. The method is economical and environmentally friendly, and has a high energy utilization efficiency and a high production speed; and the negative electrode material obtained by the method has a good sphericity degree, a high initial charging and discharging efficiency and a high gram capacity.
