Abstract:
A monitoring and alerting method and device. The method comprises: a camera (1) determines, by means of motion detection, whether someone is passing by (S101); if yes, storing an image captured when a person is passing by, and recording the current time (S102); sending a storage address of the image and the recorded time to a user by means of an SMS message (S103). Thus, the user can immediately learn that a suspicious person appears near the place of residence, and via the received storage address of the image, can view the image captured by the camera (1), so as to learn whether the person that appears near the place of residence is a family member or a stranger.
