Abstract:
Provided is a monitoring device installed in a vehicle, the monitoring device comprising a monitoring unit that monitors the count value of a counter for counting the number of occurrence of errors detected in an in-vehicle network of the vehicle, a pattern information generation unit that generates pattern information indicating the temporal change of the count value on the basis the result of monitoring by the monitoring unit, and an abnormality detection unit that detects abnormalities in the in-vehicle network on the basis of the pattern information generated by the pattern information generation unit and reference information based on the temporal change of the count value observed in advance.
