Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of traffic information acquisition and utilization, and in particular, to a monitoring method and system for a highway, the monitoring method specifically comprising the following steps: acquiring the real-time state of a guardrail, and acquiring the traffic data of a highway; sending the real-time state and the traffic data to a cloud server; and the cloud server determining whether a traffic accident occurs, and if a traffic accident occurs, sending a determination result to a display end. The present invention monitors the guardrail in real time, and determines, by means of whether the guardrail has been collided with, whether a vehicle has collided with the guardrail or an animal has collided with the guardrail, so as to determine whether there is an accident, and transmit information to the traffic department and the driver in time.
