Abstract:
A monitoring system for monitoring a plurality of gas-insulated lightning arresters is provided with: internal value detection units (15, 25, 35) for detecting internal values indicating the temperatures or the pressures inside tanks; a lightning detection unit (41) for detecting, on the basis of the detected internal values, that the gas-insulated lightning arresters have received a lightning strike; an effective value calculation unit (42) for calculating an effective internal value obtained by subtracting the internal value inside the tank of a gas-insulated lightning arrester determined not to have received a lightning strike from the internal value of a gas-insulated lightning arrester determined to have received a lightning strike among the plurality of gas-insulated lightning arresters; and an energy calculation unit (44) for calculating, from the effective internal value, the energy of the lightning strike received by the gas-insulated lightning arrester.
