Abstract:
A monitoring system (100) is provided with an imaging element (111), an allocation unit (125a) and a setting unit (125b). The imaging element (111) captures an image of an imaging region and generates captured image data indicating the captured image (M). The allocation unit (125a) sets allocation of a plurality of selection candidate areas (CS) with respect to the captured image (M). The setting unit (125b) sets any selection candidate area (CS) among the plurality of selection candidate areas (CS) as a selection area (SR). The setting unit (125b) switches, according to time zone, the selection candidate area (CS) to be set as the selection area (SR) among the plurality of selection candidate areas (CS).
