Abstract:
Provided is a motor control device that randomly selects a plurality of carrier frequency candidates and disperses a high-frequency component, the motor control device being capable of broadening the dispersion of the high-frequency component and suppressing electromagnetic noise while suppressing the amount of heat emitted from a switching element of an inverter. A motor control device that controls an inverter that supplies AC electric power to an AC motor, characterized in that: the motor control device comprises a carrier frequency generation unit that selects each of the plurality of carrier frequency candidates at a prescribed ratio on the basis of a random number and outputs the result as a carrier frequency, a carrier wave generation unit that generates a carrier wave on the basis of the selected carrier frequency, and a PWM controller that outputs a PWM signal based on the carrier wave to the inverter; and the prescribed ratio is determined on the basis of the frequencies of the plurality of carrier frequency candidates and a prescribed maximum average switching frequency.
