Abstract:
Provided is a technology for preventing heat damage to components, battery deterioration, and the like attributable to LC resonance while ensuring drivability of an electric vehicle. Disclosed in the present specification is a motor control device for an electric vehicle provided with a battery, a converter circuit, an inverter circuit, a smoothing capacitor, and a motor, the motor control device controlling driving of the motor by controlling inverter circuit operation. The motor operation area prompting resonance in an LC circuit composed of a reactor in the converter circuit and the smoothing capacitor is set as the resonance area for the motor control device. When the motor operating point is included in the resonance area without voltage boosting by the converter circuit, the motor control device allows rectangular wave control of the motor limited to a specific time.
