Abstract:
This motor control device controls an AC motor by sensorless control that does not use a rotor position detector. This motor control device includes: an inverter that converts a direct current to an alternating current on the basis of a pulse width modulation signal; a multilayer printed circuit board that has, in an inner layer thereof, a wiring pattern interposed on a current line connecting the inverter and a winding of an AC motor; a plurality of chip inductors that are mounted on the main surface of the multilayer printed circuit board toward the winding direction in a prescribed direction intersecting the wiring pattern so as to face the wiring pattern and that are connected in series to form a series circuit having a center point connected to a reference potential; load resistors that are connected between the center point of the series circuit and both ends of the series circuit; a differential amplification circuit in which a pair of input ends are connected at both ends of the series circuit; and a control unit that uses the output of the differential amplification circuit to estimate the position of a rotor of the AC motor and that generates the pulse width modulation signal to be supplied to the inverter in accordance with the estimated position of the rotor.
