Abstract:
In the present invention, a gradient parameter that indicates a road surface gradient for an electric vehicle is acquired, a temperature parameter that indicates the temperature in a motor control system including an electric motor is acquired, and torque control processing is executed in which when at least one of the gradient parameter and the temperature parameter is greater than or equal to a prescribed threshold value that has been respectively defined therefor, the upper limit of demand torque is set to a corrected torque upper limit that is less than a prescribed basic torque upper limit. In the torque control processing, a first torque is determined from the gradient parameter, a second torque for imparting a prescribed acceleration to the electric vehicle is determined, and the corrected torque upper limit is determined by referring to the first torque and the second torque and correcting the basic torque upper limit.
