Abstract:
Provided are: a motor device that makes it possible to reduce the number of switches while individually controlling each of the phases of a switched reluctance motor comprising one rotor and two systems of three-phase windings; and a method for driving the motor device. The motor device comprises: a motor unit (10) having a rotor (11) and a stator (12); a switch inverter unit that supplies power to the motor unit (10); and a switch control unit that controls each of the switches included in the switch inverter unit. The rotor (11) is a switched reluctance motor configured from a ferromagnet. A first system of three-phase windings and a second system of three-phase windings are wound around a plurality of teeth sections (13). In the switch inverter unit, three switch groups in which an upper stage switch, an intermediate stage switch, and a lower stage switch are connected in series are connected in parallel, and said switch inverter unit is equipped with a vector control mode in which control signals are transmitted to each of the first system and the second system on the basis of three-phase vector control.
