Abstract:

A motor according to the present invention is provided with: a cylindrical inner frame which has disposed therein a stator surrounding a rotor, and in which are formed an inlet header flow path, outlet header flow path, and first and second flow paths by which a coolant is distributed; and an outer frame that has a cylindrical side wall which surrounds the outer periphery of the inner frame, an inlet which is formed in communication with the inlet header flow path and into which the coolant flows, and an outlet which is formed in communication with the outlet header flow path and out of which the coolant flows. One end of each of the first and second flow paths is connected to the inlet header flow path, and the other end thereof is connected to the outlet header flow path. The cross-sectional shape of the first flow path and second flow path are the same. The second flow path is such that, above the inner frame, coolant is distributed in the opposite direction from the first flow path, the circumferential direction length of the second flow path where coolant is distributed is shorter than that of the first flow path, and the second flow path has formed therein a second flow path-side resistance section where there is resistance to the distribution of coolant between the inlet of the inlet header flow path and the second flow path and/or between the outlet of the outlet header flow path and the second flow path.
