Abstract:

A motor drive control device comprises: a three-phase rectifier (11); a booster circuit (13) having a reactor (21), a switching element (23), and a reverse current prevention element (27) and boosting a DC bus voltage supplied from the three-phase rectifier (11); a smoothing capacitor (15); an inverter circuit (17); a boost control means (51); an inverter control means (53); and a circuit protection means (55) for suppressing ripple current flowing through the smoothing capacitor (15). In the motor drive control device, the circuit protection means (55) is set with a correlation among the on-duty of the switching element (23) included in the booster circuit (13), the output power of the inverter circuit (17), and an estimated ripple current that is the estimated value of ripple current flowing through the smoothing capacitor (15). Based on the on-duty of the switching element (23), the output power of the inverter circuit (17), and the correlation, the circuit protection means (55) obtains the estimated ripple current that is the estimated value of ripple current flowing through the smoothing capacitor (15) and, when the estimated ripple current exceeds a preset threshold value, suppresses the ripple current flowing through the smoothing capacitor (15).
