Abstract:
A speed distribution unit (200) calculates a left speed command value (Vlref) for indicating a speed for a left running motor and a right speed command value (Vrref) for indicating a speed for a right running motor on the basis of an input speed command value (Vref) corresponding to an operation performed by a driver and a steering angle (δr) of turning wheels of an electric forklift. A torque command value generation unit (202) generates torque command values (Tlcom, Trcom) for indicating torques for the right and left running motors on the basis of the left speed command value (Vlref) and right speed command value (Vrref). An area wherein the turning center of the electric forklift overlaps with a driving wheel is defined as a hunting zone. When the steering angle (δr) is within a dead zone corresponding to the hunting zone, a motor drive device (300) sets the speed command value and/or the torque command value for the driving wheel on the inner side to substantially zero.
