Abstract:
A speed control unit (591) of a motor drive device (111) executes speed-reduction control whereby the rotational speed of a drive motor is reduced on the basis of a first pulse signal (SG3) for speed-reduction control, including a plurality of pulses having pulse widths corresponding to a command speed for the drive motor (57). A pulse signal output unit (902) generates the first pulse signal, in which the pulse width varies in accordance with a rule corresponding to a speed-reduction trend of the rotational speed during the speed-reduction control, and a second pulse signal (SG4) which does not accord to said rule, and outputs the first pulse signal to the speed control unit, and then outputs the second pulse signal to the speed control unit. A determination processing unit (576) determines whether or not an input signal input into the speed control unit includes the second pulse signal. If the determination processing unit determines that the second pulse signal is included in the input signal, a termination processing unit (577) causes the speed-reduction control being performed by the speed control unit to be terminated.
