Abstract:
This motor is provided with a stator and a rotor capable of rotating about a central axis with respect to the stator. The rotor or the stator is provided with a neodymium magnet. The neodymium magnet has a material structure including a main phase having a compositional makeup represented by composition formula: Nd-Fe-B, and a grain boundary phase having a Nd concentration higher than that of the main phase. The grain boundary phase contains at least an alloy of Nd, Fe, and an additional element M1. The additional element M1 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Ga, and Sn.
